Summer plans

Do you have plans for the summer yet?

Why not include the HUMC Teen Center in your plans.

We need adults who are willing to work with teens and tweens.

We also need teens and tweens (ages 10-19) who are looking for fun this summer!

The schedule so far is:

Mondays 11:30-3pm: Lunch, crafts
Tuesdays 11:30-6pm: lunch, hang out, computer club
Wednesdays 11:30-3pm: lunch and music (jam or take lessons)
Thursdays 11:30-3pm: Lunch, leadership, drama and more
Fridays 5:30-8pm: Dinner and substance abuse support

Learn Linux

Attention all computer geeks! Do you want to improve your knowledge of free and open source software systems?

Come to Learning Linux - a class offered Tuesdays at 5pm, free and open to middle and high school students.

Stop by the teen center and check it out!

Donations

Do you want to support the teen center? There are two easy ways to do it. First, you can donate pennies at a time by using Goodsearch and designating Hedding as your charity.


Or, you can always send a check to Hedding UMC, 40 Washington Street, Barre, VT 05641. Please be sure to mark "teen center" in the memo line.

Geek Gala

What a night!

We saw many new faces on Oct. 31st for our Geek Gala. The event brought in the neighbors, some folks from the church and some people from the community.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony started the night off.

Food was donated by Ramiz bakery. It was the best pizza and baklava ever!





Games for the night included a pumpkin pinata and Tetris for Pinks. One lucky family went home with a new computer!
